Passion
always
resonates.

One thing I love about design—you’re always learning.

There’s simply no other option. Technologies and standards change so rapidly that a graphic designer is forced to adapt constantly to new environments. Fortunately, this is something on which I thrive.

Throughout my life, I have always sought out new passions. I’ve taken classes in figure drawing, ceramics, intaglio and relief printmaking, screenprinting, digital and black & white darkroom photography, and lots more besides. I love to read, write, and sing. And I inject my passions directly into my work.

Work without passion, without feeling, is flat and lifeless. I strive always to make work that has as much depth as each and every person who sees it.

A brief
history
of me.

I was born in beautiful Juneau, Alaska. There are a lot of wonderful traits that I accredit to my upbringing in Juneau, but foremost among them is my fondness for rain and a near constant desire to curl up with a good book.

At 21, I helped my parents move to Red Wing, Minnesota, and idyllic town on the Mississippi River, where I lived and worked for three years before moving to Portland to pursue a degree in graphic design from Portland Community College.

I currently reside in picturesque southwest Portland, where I spend my days with my nose pressed firmly to the grindstone, with occasional brief periods of quiet relaxation.

I love designing, reading, writing, singing, and sleeping.
